Bungie has decided to start communicating more about their plans for Destiny 2. This means that the dates may be subject to change, but at least we now have an idea of what is upcoming and what to expect. I'm very happy about this, because it makes planning for clan events much easier. Here's a summary of what we have so far:
Spring of 2018 will bring us the next expansion. But they will also be releasing some other updates:
Fall of 2018 - direct list from Bungie
- 1/16 - Faction Rallies
- 1/30 - Iron Banner
- 1/30 - UPDATE: Masterwork Armor, Raid Reward Rework
- 2/13 - Crimson Days
- February - UPDATE: Strike Scoring (as in Destiny 1 scoring) replacing dreaded timers, Mods 2.0, Quickplay Improvements, Exotic Rewards not repeating consecutively, fireteam depicted on the map (FINALLY)
Spring of 2018 will bring us the next expansion. But they will also be releasing some other updates:
- Crucible Ranking
- Private Matches (THE LAUGHING TOURNAMENT SHALL RETURN!)
- 6v6 PvP will return, but there are no details as of yet
- Mayhem will return to Season 3 as a special event (similar as to how it worked for the Dawning, I'm guessing)
- Normal gear balancing and loot table reworking
- Continued updates to the Iron Banner and Faction Rally systems
- Multi Emotes - we will be able to customize all four directional arrow emotes
- VAULT SPACE - 50 MORE SLOTS + EXOTICS NON-GEAR TAB
Fall of 2018 - direct list from Bungie
- Item Collections and Records
- Weapon Slot and Archetype Improvements
- Additional Crucible Playlists (e.g. Rumble)
- Better Clan Rewards
- Masterwork Exotics
- Pinnacle Weapon and Gear Improvements
- Trials of the Nine improvements
- Shaders and dismantling
- The Future of Guided Games
- Address Solo Vs Fireteam matching
